Beautiful Barn Wedding in Northern PA

For Melinda, a VP at an investment bank in Brazil and her fiancé Otavio, their intimate wedding was all about food, family, friends...and a special donkey named Honeybun.  Melinda wanted colorful wild flowers with a focus on sunflowers and food that was was made from scratch with the freshest in-season ingredients. Also important was a nod to both their cultures - his being Brazilian and her's being Greek. Both cultures were well represented with sweets. Guests were treated to a special display of incredibly delicious traditional Brazilian truffles and pastries called Bem Casados and Brigadeiros, as well as Greek desserts, including authentic Greek yogurt with traditional toppings. (I may never eat Dannon yogurt again.)  I certainly miss the many conversations we had from her home in Brazil to my home in PA. Wishing Melinda and her wonderful husband Otavio all the best for their future together. Thank you to the amazing Elizabeth Lloyd for the beautiful pictures! (Brava Weddings Full Planning)

Honeybun came to us from Young's Funny Farm, and organization that adopts and trains donkeys for animal therapy. The organization generously offers their services free of charge because of their passion for animals and helping others.  If you would like to learn more about Young's Funny Farm or support this wonderful organization, please go to their website at www.youngsfunnyfarm.org

Chris + Michelle | Historic Hotel Bethlehem

I really enjoyed working with Michelle and her mother Margaret Ellis. It was clear they enjoyed planning together and it was easy to join the team in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I used to work in market research so when I saw the massive 20-column spreadsheet Michelle created to capture information on over 200 guests -- complete with color coding and filters -- it made me feel so much at home. :-)  The ceremony was memorable (thanks to Monsignor Murphy) and the reception, lively (thanks to an unforgettable entrance by the bridal party and guests who never left the dance floor).  I am glad they had a great day and was really touched by the kind notes they sent me not long after. I wish Michelle and Chris the very best in the future! (Brava Weddings Day of Coordination).

Brian + Alayna | The Painted Bride Art Center

Just got the sneak peak photos of Brian and Alyana's Philadephia wedding and couldn't wait to post. The wedding was filled with great DIY details that the bride made herself, and together with friends. The ceremony was held inside the art gallery, while the reception was set up in the theater. We were able to take full advantage of the theater's sound and lighting system to create an amazing space for dinner and dancing. I have to say, one of the highlights was the food truck. They served the best authentic gourmet pizza I've tasted this side of the Atlantic. It was truly a memorable night! (Brava Weddings Day of Coordination).

Scouting Wedding Venues in Cape May, NJ

Photo courtesy of photographer "Ms. Pearl" from www.pearlsandprose.com

I absolutely LOVE Cape May. My husband and I visit every summer. Even though I live in PA, it wasn't too much of a hardship to come to this beautiful seaside resort to scout wedding locations for a client.

Cape May is a popular town for destination weddings, and it's obvious why. It's the oldest seaside resort in the country and is filled with colorful historic inns, cottages, romantic victorian-styled B&Bs, and some pretty cool boutique hotels. (Not to mention the large selection of highly rated restaurants makes Cape May a foodie's heaven!).

So I just got done sending off my client her venue comparisions with my top recommended venues. We'll have to see which one she picks

Venue scouting is a service I offer busy clients looking for that very special place to wed (Click here to learn more).
